You don’t have time for healthy breakfast? Here are some tips on how to make time for the most important meal of the day! Eating a healthy breakfast and making time for it will boost your metabolism so you can be healthier.
- Prepare the night before
Before you go to bed at night, get your breakfast food ready. Make your breakfast ahead of time so you don’t have to feel rushed in the morning.
- Get good sleep! Getting a good night’s sleep is very important. Get into a routine to help make falling asleep easier. Read before bed or listen to soft music to help you sleep. Try not to eat late night snacks because they can make you feel more awake and can also lead to indigestion and its not good to wake up the next morning and feel too full to eat breakfast.
- Get up earlier This is very important. Plus, even though it may feel like it is better to grab 15 minutes of extra sleep, you’ll actually feel better if you get out of bed and give your body a chance to fully wake up. Waking up and rushing out the door in 15 minutes is a sure-fire way to be tired all day, so take the extra time and allow your body to wake up naturally.
- Don’t always rely on coffee Coffee can stain your teeth and drinking coffee when your stomach is empty keeps you from feeling hungry at breakfast time. Eat a healthy breakfast, don’t skip a healthy breakfast! If you insist on getting up 15 minutes before you have to leave and don’t have time to eat, at least drink a healthy, refreshing fruit smoothie instead of coffee. A smoothie is easy to make, you’ll feel full, and its healthy.
- Make breakfast time “your time” Make it an enjoyable part of your day. Read a book while you eat, eat outside and enjoy the fresh air or play some music you like.
